Ecological Nest Secures Grant for Bia Riparian Corridor Restoration
Ecological Nest (Econest) is pleased to announce its selection as a TerraFund Restoration partner in collaboration with VIA Foundation to commence the "Bia Riparian Corridor Restoration Initiative". This is a six-year project (January 2026 – March 2032) aimed at revitalising degraded landscapes within the GCB-Juaboso-Bia Biodiversity Cluster in Ghana's Western North Region. The initiative seeks to reverse the ecological degradation caused by agricultural expansion and unsustainable practices. By integrating conservation with agricultural productivity, Econest aims to create a landscape where nature and people thrive in harmony.

This initiative is made possible through the support of the VIA Foundation, World Resources Institute, and the TerraFund partnership. Econest looks forward to collaborating with the Bia East and Bia West district assemblies, traditional authorities, and local farming communities to ensure this project’s success.
